Inter winger Ivan Perisic is close to joining Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer rather than stay with Inter, according to a report in the UK media.

As has been reported by The Independent, the Croatian winger will sign for Tottenham Hotspur and join up with Antonio Conte rather than remain with Inter into the latter years of his career.

It has been a contract affair that has dragged on for much of the second half of the season and Ivan Perisic showed his anger at the situation after the Coppa Italia final.

The club eventually seemed to increase their offer but it has not been enough to keep the Croatian at Inter.

The deal that Tottenham Hotspur have offered would see him earn €4.7 million per season and it will run for two years. They certainly seem the favourites to win the player’s signature now.
