Empoli Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli: “Inter’s Andrea Pinamonti A Great Professional, Season Spent Under Conte Important To His Development”

Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli has been very impressed with what he has seen from Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan with the Tuscan side during the season just gone.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Foglia Sportivo, via L’Interista, Andreazzoli praised the 22-year-old for the growth shown in the season and also gave the view that spending a team in Antonio Conte’s Scudetto-winning Inter side had benefited him significantly.

Pinamonti has emerged with his best season in the senior game by far with Empoli, hitting double figures for goals and more than demonstrating that he is capable of leading the line.

This came after a season in which the young striker had been part of the Nerazzurri team that won the title under Conte, but he rarely played, featuring only occasionally from the bench.

Despite the lack of playing time, Andreazzoli is of the view that the experience was important to Pinamonti’s growth.

“He’s a great professional, he isn’t afraid of pressure and always proves himself with his goals,” he said of the player. “The experience with Conte and the top players at Inter was important for him. Now he can only continue to improve.”
