Former Inter coach and former Nerazzurri and Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli feels that Inter should do more to keep hold of Ivan Perisic this summer.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Tardelli gave the view that the 33-year-old would be an ideal target for Juventus but also that the Nerazzurri should do more to try and extend with him.

Perisic’s contract situation looks to be coming to a conclusion, with the Croat appearing likely to reject the Nerazzurri’s final offer of a new deal in order to make the switch to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Juventus have also been among the 33-year-old’s suitors, but it looks to be a switch to the English top flight that he has chosen in search of a new adventure.

Tardelli feels that Perisic would be an ideal signing for the Bianconeri, although he also feels certain that Inter should be doing more to keep him this summer.

“I would immediately sign Perisic, he’s experienced and knows the Italian league well,” he said of the Bianconeri’s summer business. “At any rate, though, if I were Inter I would keep hold of him.”
