Inter are set for a meeting with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku’s representatives next week outlining whether a summer return would be possible for the Belgian.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the striker is pushing for a move back to the Nerazzurri and that next week’s meeting will be to determine whether it will be feasible.

A transfer of Lukaku back to Inter just one season after the 29-year-old left will not just depend on the Nerazzurri, as it will remain to be seen how open his current club are to a deal that would allow him to leave after investing significantly to sign him last summer.

On the player’s part, however, his desire is clear and he is willing to accept a very significant wage cut to make the deal happen, and his representatives will sit down with the Nerazzurri next week.
