Inter will aim to bring in a young Italian player like Andrea Cambiaso to replace Ivan Perisic on the left should he depart.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported on his homepage that the Nerazzurri will target a young player with room to grow rather than a starting-quality player to add depth on the left.

If Perisic is to leave rather than accept Inter’s contract extension offer, as currently looks likely, the club are confident that they already have his immediate replacement in the team in the form of Robin Gosens who arrived from Atalanta in January.

The Nerazzurri are not likely to target Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic to replace Perisic, as they feel that Gosens will be the starter starting next season.

Rather, a younger profile will be sought to reinforce the position going forward, with Cambiaso currently looking to be the most likely name.
