Ivan Perisic has made the decision to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and Inter will make Robin Gosens the first-choice player at left-wingback ahead of next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that Perisic will not agree a contract extension with the Nerazzurri but that they feel that his replacement is already at the club in the form of Gosens.

Inter made their final offer for a new deal to Perisic last week, but they have not received a response from the player and his representatives, which is because he has decided to accept an offer from Spurs.

The Nerazzurri feel that they already have the direct replacement in-house in the form of Gosens, who was signed from Atalanta during the January transfer window with a view for being the 33-year-old’s long-term successor.

Meanwhile, the club will look to a low-cost signing with potential to grow to back up Gosens for next season, with Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso the likeliest candidate.
