Inter could look to sign Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari to reinforce in the wingback position, with the 22-year-old potentially taking over on the right behind Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian being moved to the left.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to sign Bellanova from the Rossoblu following their relegation to Serie B.

Bellanova was on loan at Cagliari from Bordeaux last season, but the Sardinians are set to trigger an option to make his deal a permanent one and then cash in on him.

The Nerazzurri are in search of a wingback option with Ivan Perisic on his way out to join Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer, and while the focus of their search has mainly been direct replacements on the left, Bellanova could also be an option.

The 22-year-old is right-footed, but if he were to arrive he would add depth in the right-sided wingback position behind Dumfries, which would allow Darmian to back up Robin Gosens on the left.
