Inter To Collect Almost €70M In Prize Money For Participation In 2021-22 Champions League, Italian Media Report

Inter are set to collect almost €70 million in prize money from UEFA for their participation in the 2021-22 Champions league now that the competition has officially come to a close.

This according to today’s print edition of Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, who detail the amount that the Nerazzurri will earn from the competition with prizes set to be dispersed after yesterday evening’s final.

The Champions League has come to a close to a yesterday with Real Madrid’s final 1-0 victory over Liverpool, the team who had knocked Inter out at the round of sixteen stage in March.

For making it that far, the Nerazzurri are entitled to around €65 million, which includes the base amount of €35 million for participation and for reaching the knockout rounds, €16 million for results obtained, and between €13.5 million and €14 million for the largest share of the market pool for Italian teams as last season’s Serie A champions.
