Inter are considering a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti on a free transfer as an alternative to signing Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca.

This according to the online edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri are put off by the Neroverdi’s €50 million valuation and could turn to Belotti instead, with coach Simone Inzaghi considering the possibility.

Inter have a personal agreement with Scamacca, but signing him from the Neroverdi could prove difficult, with the Emilian club not budging from their valuation which the Nerazzurri consider to be too high for them.

Accordingly, they could look elsewhere to reinforce their attack, with Belotti fitting their strategy of looking for free transfer opportunities in the summer window well.

AC Milan are also interested in the 28-year-old, however, as they would see him as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the tip of their attack, and could go head-to-head with the Nerazzurri to sign him.
