Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is speaking to the directors at his current club personally rather than through his agent Federico Pastorello as he looks to convince them to allow him to return to Inter this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian continues to urge the Blues to consider sanctioning a summer departure back to the Nerazzurri and that he is in contact with the club personally.

A summer switch back to the Nerazzurri remains difficult for Lukaku given how much Chelsea paid to bring him back to the Premier League just less than one year ago, but the 29-year-old is convinced that it is possible.

The striker is personally speaking with the Blues’ club directors in the hopes that they will soften their stance and that as the new ownership firms up their plans for the club going into next season they are willing to cut their losses and allow him to transfer back to Inter.
