Tottenham Hotspur have formally notified Inter that they have an agreement with Ivan Perisic for a two-year deal on a free transfer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Premier League team have sent the Nerazzurri an official letter informing them that they are close to signing the 33-year-old.
Perisic declined to respond to Inter’s final offer for a contract extension by the Friday deadline, with Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio interpreting this as a clear sign that he would not accept their offer.
Further confirmation has arrived with reports that the Croat has agreed a deal to join Spurs ahead of next season, while the player called Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to inform him of his intent.
In addition to this, Spurs have now also notified the Nerazzurri that they have an agreement with Perisic, with a transfer now looking to be purely a matter of getting the formalities out of the way.
