Inter will look to sign two defenders this summer in the event that both Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni are sold, with Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi their main candidates alongside Torino’s Bremer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are lining up their defensive targets in the event that the backline needs to be reinforced.

Bremer has long been a priority target for Inter no matter what, and they remain well-positioned to sign the Brazilian, but should both de Vrij and Bastoni be on their way as currently looks well within the realm of possibility, they will not restrict themselves to one defensive signing.

Andrea Ranocchia is also set to leave the club this summer, and so if two of the first-choice central defenders are to be sold then Milenkovic would become a serious target, whilst their interest in Acerbi remains as strong as ever with the 34-year-old set to leave Lazio.
