Ivan Perisic has given his goodbye message to Inter fans with his move to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer close at hand.

The 33-year-old wrote the message on his Instagram account, stressing that despite the departure he will always feel an affection for the Nerazzurri in his heart.

Perisic, who joined Inter from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015, is set to move to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of next season where he will link up with former Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte.

Spending six seasons wearing an Inter shirt not counting the single season that he spent on loan with Bayern Munich, the Croat seemed to grow in form as the seasons passed and capped off his Nerazzurri adventure with a Serie A title, a Supercoppa Italiana, and a Coppa Italiana in his final two seasons.

His emotions upon departing the club were summed up in his message to the fans, beginning “After 254 games, 55 goals, 49 assists, three trophies and 18,934 minutes on the pitch wearing this glorious shirt, my adventure at Inter ends here.”

“⁣⁣⁣⁣Even if every end marks a new beginning, it’s important to look back on these past seasons and share my sincere pride at the work we’ve done and the goals we’ve achieved together with everyone,” he continues.

“It was an unforgettable experience that has given so much to me as a player, and to my entire family,” Perisic goes on.

He bids goodbye “To the team, to the staff, to all employees, but above all to the fans – you’ll always have a special place in my heart.”

“I’m leaving here feeling honoured to have been a part of this club,” he writes. “⁣⁣⁣⁣With so many emotions in my heart, I leave you saying: ‘It’s an infinite joy that lasts for a lifetime, Pazza Inter!'”
