Roma have not increased their contract offer to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Inter are the favourites to sign the 33-year-old on a free transfer.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Giallorossi have not decided to try to convince the midfielder with a better offer, leaving the Nerazzurri in pole position for his signature.
Inter have been moving fast in talks with Mikhitaryan, but the Giallorossi have still resolved to make one final attempt to persuade him to extend his contract beyond the end of next month.
However, the offer that the player has received from the capital club is no better, and he now looks to be on the verge of a move to the Nerazzurri.
Roma do not appear to be ready to go any further to stop the move to the Nerazzurri, which should now proceed over the cooking days barring unexpected turns.
