Now decision has yet been taken as to the future of Inter wingback Valentino Lazaro, who will start the preseason with the Nerazzurri and then look at his options for a move away.

This according to the Austrian’s agent Max Hagmayr, who spoke to Italian news outlet FCInter1908 and updated on the plans for Lazaro at Inter now that his loan spell with Benfica has ended.

Lazaro spent last campaign on a one-season loan at Benfica, but the Portuguese giants did not decide to exercise their option to make the deal a permanent one so he returns to Inter.

After having already had loan spells with the likes of Newcastle United and Borussia Monchengladbach since joining the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2019, the Austrian will not be keen on another loan and could seek a permanent transfer away.

As of now, the plan is for Lazaro to begin the preseason with his current club, but then see what happens with opportunities for a new destination.

“There’s no news, at the moment no decision has been made on Lazaro’s future,” Hagmayr explained. “Valentino will start the preseason with Inter and then we’ll see what happens, we’ll have to talk to the club about his future.”
