Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to undergo the medical for his transfer to Inter in the coming days.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Armenian is one step away from a free transfer and that his medical will be scheduled soon.

Inter have worked fast to convince Mkhitaryan to make the switch on a free transfer, and he has been convinced by their offer and by the prospect of playing Champions League football next season.

The 33-year-old has chosen Inter ahead of his current club Roma, and the Giallorossi will not make any further push to try and keep hold of him with an improved contract extension offer.

Accordingly, the medical looks to be the final major step for a deal to be completed for the midfielder, who joined Roma from Arsenal in the summer of 2019, winning the Conference League final in his final match with the club.
