Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte’s priority signing in defense for next season.

This according to UK news outlet the Mirror, who report that the coach is aiming to reinforce the London-based team’s backline ahead of next season, and that Bastoni is the first name on his list of targets.

Conte has already reunited with one former Inter player at Spurs in the form of Ivan Perisic who joined the Premier League team on a free transfer earlier this week.

However, the former Nerazzurri coach is far from done with strengthening the squad and would like to also bring Bastoni to the English top flight.

RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol and Nottingham Forest’s Djed Spence are also defensive targets for the Spurs coach, but Bastoni appears to be the player who he most wants to see brought to London as he plans for the upcoming season.
