Roma Make Improved Contract Offer To Henrikh Mkhitaryan To Convince Him Not To Join Inter, Italian Broadcaster Reports

Roma have made another contract offer to Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the hopes of convincing him to extend his contract rather than making the switch to Inter on a free transfer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Giallorossi have made the 33-year-old an offer of a two-year deal worth €3.5 million net per season plus add-ons reaching €4.1 million per season.

The Giallorossi are determined to try and persuade Mkhitaryan not to accept Inter’s offer, with the Nerazzurri having offered him €4.5 million net per season on a two-year deal.

Inter can offer the Armenian Champions League football, but the Giallorossi have included a clause that if he appears in 50% of matches during the two-year contract, an automatic renewal for a third season will be triggered.

Given that, apart from the targeted €5 million net per seasons, Mkhitaryan is also asking for a three-year deal, this could be a significant factor in his decision.
