Salernitana are interested in signing Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito on loan for next season after he has returned from his loan spell with Basel during the season just gone.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 19-year-old is a target for the Granata in their second season in Serie A, whilst Basel would also be interested in signing him on loan once again.

With Esposito’s loan spell with Basel done, the Swiss side are not interested in paying the €8 million needed to make the deal a permanent one per the clause in the striker’s one-season loan deal.

However, they have inquired about loaning him in for a further season, under the same terms as the deal from last season.

It could be Salernitana who are likelier to loan in Esposito, however, with the Campanian club keen to bring him back to Italy to play in Serie A.
