Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia is open to joining Monza when his Inter contract expires at the end of June, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian defender will say yes to an offer from Giovanni Stroppa’s team should it be forthcoming.

Inter will not be offering Andrea Ranocchia a new contract after he spent 11 years with the Nerazzurri.

At 34-years-old Andrea Ranocchia still has plenty to offer another team as a centre-back and newly-promoted Monza have already started trying to assemble a side that can keep them in Serie A.

They managed to beat Pisa in the playoff final in extra time and it means former AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has finally achieved what he set out to do when he brought the club.

Andrea Ranocchia only made 10 appearances for Inter this season showing that moving on is the best for both parties.
