Inter are convinced that AS Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will keep his word and join them on a free transfer in the coming weeks, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter are very keen to raise the collective quality of the squad next season and they see the Armenian midfielder as a way to do that.

He is available on a free transfer and Inter have made him a contract offer that is thought to definitely be enough to appease the former Manchester United player.

The Giallorossi are not going to let go of the 33-year-old that easily though and they are planning to raise their offer to €4 million including bonuses.

Despite this, Inter are not scared of the player going back on his word and staying in Rome though, they think he will link up with Paulo Dybala next season.
