Inter-linked Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca feels that he is continually building his career and his reputation after a positive season in Serie A with Sassuolo.

Speaking to Italian news outlet nssmag.com, the 23-year-old spoke about the development that he experienced in the season just gone at the Neroverdi as well as how he is approaching the coming seasons.

Scamacca had been a highly-regarded prospect within Italian football for some time, with Inter having been among the top clubs linked to his signature in past transfer windows.

However, over the past twelve months or so the young striker’s stock has risen based on his impressive form for Sassuolo, which has caused teams like the Nerazzurri to sit up and take notice.

Inter have been the team most strongly linked to Scamacca’s signature at times, and even though it is far from clear that that is where he will end up, Scamacca is aiming big for his future.

“The future is certainly something that each of us, in his own life, builds one day at a time,” he said, “match by match, piece by piece, with a lot of patience, because in the end we decide who we want to be and who we want to become.”

He went on that “I think that this season has been a small reward for never giving up. I’ll certainly remember this season, but I hope that it’s just the first of many positives.”
