Inter are very unlikely to sign Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea this summer due to the figures that the Premier League side has quoted, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the only way that the Belgian forward is going to get his wish of returning to Inter this summer is if it is on loan. The Nerazzurri simply cannot afford to buy him back.

There are suggestions that should he be loaned back to Inter, Chelsea would want a fee of €25 million for the loan and a compulsory purchase price of €76 million for Inter to pay to make the move permanent at the end of next season.

The figures need to be verified by Romelu Lukaku’s lawyer, Sebastien Ledure, as he has not yet started his work in London to try and get a deal off the ground.
