Italian media have highlighted the very different displays of Inter players Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella during the Finalissima in Wembley on Wednesday night.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, there was not a lot to shout about from an Italian perspective in London.

Italy lost the game that is contested by the European Championships winners and the Copa America winners 3-0 thanks to goals from Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, possible new Juventus winger AngelDi Maria, and possible new Inter forward Paulo Dybala.

Nicolo Barella was the only Nerazzurri representative who started the game and it is said that he was ‘tossed around’ in the midfield, meaning he never got a handle on the game at all.

On the Argentinian side, there was a lot of praise for Lautaro Martinez who scored with the first opportunity that he got in the game. He was given a rating of 7.5 out of 10.
