Inter will have to do battle with Napoli and other clubs in Europe if they want to sign Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Repubblica, Genoa are frantically trying to extend the contracts of their most valued players as they have been relegated to Serie B.

Much of the squad will jump at the chance to join a Serie A side instead and the Rossoblu have got very little bargaining power.

Andrea Cambiaso has been linked with a move to Inter for a few weeks and his contract expires in 2023, meaning it is likely the last chance for Genoa to get money for him.

The player’s agent has made it clear to the club that Inter and Napoli are interested as well as other clubs in Europe. Inter will have to try and make the best proposal to the left-back.
