Inter youngster Sebastiano Esposito has spoken about the joy of returning to the Azzurri youth setup after two years out of the picture, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during a press conference with the Italy U21s at their training camp, via FCInternews, Sebastiano Esposto spoke about how exciting an opportunity it is for him to be back in the national team set-up.

He also spoke very humbly about his form in the past two years by saying that it was correct for him to not be chosen for the Azzurri as he was not doing enough to deserve it.

“For me it is a unique opportunity, I return to the national team after two years in which it was right not to call me up because I had not done well. Now I want to prove my value and we must bring home the points for qualification.”

Sebastiano Esposito has spent the last season on loan at FC Basel in Switzerland where his form was very mixed but not unsuccessful. He could be used by Inter as a counterweight in a transfer this summer.

He also talked about how AS Roma legend Francesco Totti is his idol: “My idol is Totti, I take inspiration from him. I have always said it, he is my idol since I was a child.

“This year I also played as a trequartista and I asked him for some advice, every now and then we talk.”
