Alexis Sanchez could ask for close to the €7.5 million net wages that he has remaining on his contract as a severance payment in order to leave Inter this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 33-year-old will want to be compensated significantly in order to terminate his contract with Nerazzurri.

Parting ways with Sanchez and Arturo Vidal is one of the key items on the Nerazzurri’s agenda for early on in the summer transfer window, as the club l0ok to slash their wage bill.

Sanchez has interest from Galatasaray as well as teams in La Liga, and could accept a move away from Inter during the window, although not without significant compensation.

Unlike Vidal, who can be released from his contract with a severance payment specified in a clause in his contract, the Nerazzurri will have to convince Sanchez on a departure, which could also be related to him finding a destination that he is satisfied with.
