Andrei Radu is looking at the possibility of joining Cremonese on loan next season as he aims to play at a club where he is the first-choice starter.

Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, Radu’s agent Oscar Damiani explained the situation as his client looks for a new club for next season, while also giving the view that the Romanian still has the necessary quality to grow into the starting keeper at Inter.

Radu looks all but certain to make a move away from the Nerazzurri this summer, whether on loan or on a permanent basis, after having not established himself in the season just gone.

The 25-year-old made just two appearances between all competitions, and his costly error in the 2-1 loss to Bologna will have significantly dented his confidence.

The priority for the upcoming season is for Radu to find regular football and play his way back into form.

“For his growth it will be good for him to get experience as a starter, or in any event to go somewhere where he’ll play regularly,” Damiani said of the keeper.

“There are many teams interested,” he continued, “I won’t mention any names, but I can say that there is especially demand in France and Italy, especially from newly-promoted teams. We will be able to make the best choice for him.”

He continued that the goal is “A loan move. For me Radu has all the qualities to be the starter at Inter, and maybe in one or two years he’ll return to Milan and establish himself.”

“He made an error in Bologna,” he continued, “but this is the only way to grow and improve.”

Asked about newly-promoted Cremonese, Damiani said that “They may be an option. They certainly like him, but we’ll have to see if their currentl goalkeeper leaves.”

“Cremona is a beautiful place,” he went on, “they have a nice sports center, they’re a serious club, and for him they would be a good solution.”

“But there are also other teams in Spain and France who want him,” he continued, “before the preseason we’ll find a solution, which must be the right one at any rate.”

“His priority is to play in a club that hold him in high esteem,” the agent added. “He has many offers from abroad, we’re spoiled for choice.”
