Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has asked his club to move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku amid the 29-year-old’s push to return to Inter.

This according to today’s print edition  of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the former Nerazzurri coach is keen on a reunion with the Belgian and that Tottneham could represent an alternative destination to Inter for him.

Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea after just one season and continues to try and make the switch back to Inter happen, but should this prove impossible then another transfer could be on the table.

Conte worked successfully with the 29-year-old for two seasons while in charge at Inter, and would be keen on bringing him to his current club as the London-based team aim to strengthen their attack with a player capable of challenging Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min for a starting spot.

Spurs could represent a viable alternative for Lukaku should his current club refuse to sanction a deal back to the Nerazzurri.
