Henrikh Mkhitaryan will undergo his medical ahead of signing for Inter sometime next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Armenian’s medical exams are scheduled for the coming days now that he has made his decision to make the switch to the Nerazzurri.

Roma made a late push to try and convince Mkhitaryan to extend his contract rather than moving to Inter on a free transfer, but in the end he was convinced by the Nerazzurri’s proposal and will make the move soon.

The 33-year-old has spoken to Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and is attracted to the idea of playing in the Champions League with Inter.

The medical will be the final order of business needed to get the signing of Mkhitaryan over the line, but he is fully convinced on making the move ahead of next season, and has communicated his decision.
