Inter will have to raise funds from the sales of players before they can complete a deal to sign defender Bremer from Torino this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have been at work on the deal for months, but that the cash from player transfers will be needed to get it over the line.

The Nerazzurri have long identified Bremer as one of their priority targets for the summer, with the Brazilian seen as the ideal candidate to reinforce the defense, possibly by replacing Stefan de Vrij at the centre of a back three.

While the club will be looking for value options and free transfer opportunities in the market this summer, they also aim to strengthen the team with a player who could command a fairly high fee in the form of Bremer, given that he has been identified as perfect for the team’s needs.

In order to do this, however, money will first have to be brought in from sales.
