Inter have identified Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi as one of their main targets to replace Alessandro Bastoni in the event that he is sold.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that the 25-year-old would have the right profile to act as a like-for-like replacement for Bastoni.

If Bastoni were to be sold then the Nerazzurri’s priority would be to strengthen in defense in the 23-year-old’s absence.

Torino defender Bremer has long been one of the main priorities for the summer, but the Brazilian is right-footed and has shone in the central role in a back three rather than on the left like Bastoni.

In addition to Bremer, the Nerazzurri would be looking for a player with a similar style of play to Bastoni in the event that he were to be on his way, as Tottenham Hotspur step up their interest.

Senesi is left-footed like the 23-year-old, and the Nerazzurri have scouted the Argentine as having a style of defending as well as a similar adeptness in buildup to Bastoni that could make him the right player to take his place.
