Inter-linked striker Gianluca Scamacca is not preoccupied with transfer rumours or talk about his valuation amid speculation about a move away from Sassuolo this summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Sport after his team’s 1-1 draw with Germany in the Nations League, Scamacca emphasized that his focus is strictly on the footballing side of things.

Scamacca has been reported as a major target for top teams in Serie A as well as elsewhere in Europe, with Inter one of the teams most strongly linked for some time.

The Neroverdi do not look inclined to let the 23-year-old go for cheap, however, and reports have suggested that their asking price would be at least €40 million.

This valuation could be an obstacle to a move for the Nerazzurri as well as other interested clubs, and will likely play a role in the transfer saga that decides his future this summer.

For his part though, Scamacca doesn’t care, stating that “I don’t read about these things. For me, what’s on the pitch is all that counts. The clubs come up with these numbers. For me, all that matters is the pitch and enjoying myself.”
