Inter are set to announce the contract extensions of coach Simone Inzaghi as well as captain Samir Handanovic sometime next week.

This according to Italian news outlet Corriere.it, who report that everything is in place for the Nerazzurri to make the duo’s new deals official in the coming days.

Coach Inzaghi is currently under contract for just one more season, having signed a two-year deal with the club when he signed from Lazio at the beginning of last summer, but the Nerazzurri have made extending his deal a priority.

The 46-year-old will be rewarded for his work with an increase to the wages that he earns, from a net of €4 million per season to €5.5 million net per season.

Everything is agreed on the terms of the deal to extend his contract until the end of June 2024, and it will be announce next week, as will the extension of Handanovic’s deal past the end of the current month.
