Salernitana have rejected offers from the likes of Inter and Atalanta to sign midfielder Ederson ahead of next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino, who report that the 22-year-old is a target for Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi while Atalanta are also interested, but that Salernitana have rejected bids of €21 million for his signature.

Ederson only arrived in Serie A during the January transfer window, as part of Salernitana’s massive squad revamp as they staged an improbable escape from the drop zone and kept themselves in Serie A at the expense of Cagliari and Genoa.

However, the Brazilian has heavily impressed with his displays for the Campanian team, who are now aiming to hold onto him as they look to strengthen for a second season on the top flight.

There is interest in Ederson’s signature, with Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi particularly an admirer, but he could prove difficult to sign if Salernitana hold firm.
