Inter and AC Milan met with the coordinator of the public debate regarding the new stadium in Milan for the first time yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the clubs held their initial talks with Andrea Pillon following his appointment as the official coordinator for the public debate.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have been waiting for the public debate on their new stadium plans to begin, as it is a major bureaucratic holdup which has been delaying the start of construction, which they feel must begin as soon as possible.

With the appointment of Pillon as the coordinator, the debate should be able to move forward, potentially representing an important step towards the beginning of construction on the stadium.

Inter Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello appeared in the meeting as a representative of the Nerazzurri, whilst the Rossoneri sent Giuseppe Bonomi.
