Inter could work to avoid selling a big name player this summer by instead selling both Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will meet today and that a theme of the talks will be the possible strategy to avoid having to sell one of their top stars.

The Nerazzurri have already outlined their summer transfer strategy, and with the ambitious financial goals that they’ve set for the window, it has looked very probable that one of Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, or Milan Skriniar would have to be sold for a high fee.

However, coach Simone Inzaghi is resistant to the idea, and still hopes that it will be possible to avoid such a major sacrifice while still staying within their financial restrictions.

The coach will meet with club directors today, and they could outline a strategy to offload de Vrij and Dumfries for significant fees, whilst more money could also come in through the sales of lesser names owned by the club.
