Inter will meet with the agent of Paulo Dybala this week to clarify where they stand on their pursuit of the Argentine.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri will update the 28-year-old’s representatives on when they expect to be able to make a formal contract offer, whilst Atletico Madrid haven’t given up hope of signing him.

Inter remain in the driver’s seat as far as the race for Dybala’s signature goes, although for now their efforts to sign him are on standby as they do not intend to offer him a deal until Alexis Sanchez has departed and made space in the wage bill.

The purpose of this week’s meeting with the Argentine’s agent will be to inform him on how long they expect the situation to remain on standby.

Meanwhile, Atletico are still keen on the 28-year-old, and could swoop if the Nerazzurri are not able to complete his signing in a timely fashion.
