Chelsea will ask Inter for either a paid loan deal or for a loan swap involving a big name player to allow Romelu Lukaku to return on loan this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Blues have defined what their demands will be in negotiations for the 29-year-old.

Chelsea have now made it clear that they are open to loaning Lukaku back to Inter, but that they cannot let him go on a free loan as they need to at least recoup the €23 million which he costs in their budget for the fiscal year with amortization.

As such, the Premier League club will demand a loan fee of an absolute minimum of this amount, but would also be very interested in the possibility of a loan swap.

The likes of Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, and Milan Skriniar are all players who the Blues could ask for as part of a loan swap for Lukaku.
