Chelsea could ask Inter for a loan swap for Romelu Lukaku, with the possibility of a big name player going the other way as part of a deal for the striker.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the Blues would be interested in any of Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Lautaro Martinez, or Milan Skriniar as part of a loan for Lukaku.

Chelsea look to have softened in their stance on letting Lukaku leave on loan, although negotiations would still be difficult as they would see it as necessary to get something of a return on their massive investment rather than letting him leave on loan without conditions.

A paid loan would be one possibility, but another possibility that the Premier League club would be very intrigued by would be the inclusion of a player going on loan in the other direction, with all of the Nerazzurri’s big names of interest to them.
