Inter could still move for Genoa wingback Andrea Cambiaso in addition to Cagliari’s Raoul Bellanova this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to sign the 22-year-old and then send him out on loan.

Cambiaso looks to have taken a backseat to Bellanova as the Nerazzurri’s top target for the wingback position following the departure of Ivan Perisic to join Tottenham Hotspur, and they are close to completing a deal for the Cagliari player.

This does not mean that the Nerazzurri have lost interest in Cambiaso, who remains something of a long-term target for them despite Bellanova being seen as the player for the immediate future.

A move could still be made for Cambiaso, particularly in the event that a cash influx comes from the sales of players like Stefano Sensi and Andrea Pinamonti to Monza, although the plan would then be to loan him out rather than immediately make him part of the first team plans.
