Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes expects that he will remain at his current club for next season, despite transfer links away including to Inter.

Speaking to Argentine broadcaster Radio La Red, the 27-year-old affirmed that he has every intention of staying for at least one more season given that that is how long his contract runs for, and he is not planning for a transfer away.

Paredes has been a target for the Nerazzurri in a number of transfer windows, with the former Empoli, Roma, and Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder specifically identified as one of the players with the right profile to provide a backup option to Marcelo Brozovic for next season.

The Argentine’s high wages have been reported as one possible obstacle to a move to Inter, while for his part the midfielder simply is not yet expecting to depart from the French capital, where he feels he will continue playing next season.

“I’ll stay at PSG next season,” Paredes said, “the time has not yet come to leave.”
