Qatar Stars League club Al Rayyan have offered Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal a two-year contract worth a net of $8 million US dollars net per season.

This according to today’s print edition of Chilean newspaper La Tercera, who report that the Qatari club are hoping that they can tempt the 35-year-old to make the switch rather than joining Flamengo this summer.

Vidal looks all but certain to leave Inter this summer, although the Chilean’s destination will remain to be seen.

Flamengo have been strongly linked, and have reportedly gotten very close to signing the midfielder who has made no secret of his desire to play for the Brazilian giants.

However, Al Rayyan would be prepared to offer the 35-year-old a deal worth significantly more than the $5 million net per season put forward for Flamengo, and it remains to be seen if this could be enough to convince him to sign for them rather than for the Brazilians.
