Inter are set to terminate the contract of midfielder Arturo Vidal by mutual consent with a severance payment of €2 million.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have an agreement in place to end the 35-year-old’s deal so that he can complete a move to Flamengo for next season.

Vidal has always looked destined to leave Inter this summer, though the exact manner of his departure has been up in the air given that the club have an option to extend his deal by one more season which they must pay a severance not to trigger per a clause in his contract.

However, everything is heading in the direction of the Chilean making the move to Flamengo, and so an end to his time at Inter will be agreed imminently to facilitate the deal.

The amount that the Nerazzurri pay to release the 35-year-old will be around €2 million.
