Former Inter Primavera and current SPAL midfielder Salvatore Esposito has explained that part of the reason that he and his brothers Sebastiano and Francesco Pio have been able to make a career in football is their early support in the sport.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, Esposito explained that his family even had a football pitch to train on that allowed he and his two younger brothers to learn and develop their abilities.

Inter’s Primavera team has seen many talented players pass through in recent years, and whilst Salvatore Esposito was never quite able to establish himself within the senior team, he has done well for himself by becoming an important player for SPAL in Serie B.

Salvatore’s younger brother Sebastiano spent last season on loan with Basel, whilst Francesco Pio looks to have significant potential as be finds his feet within the senior game after coming through the Nerazzurri’s youth ranks.

“We were lucky enough to have a football pitch at our house,” he said, “and this helped us a lot.”
