As things stand, Roberto Gagliardini is currently likelier to stay at Inter for next season than he is to be sold during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that while there is certainly scope for the 28-year-old to leave the Nerazzurri, he is likelier to stay and round out the midfield.

Gagliardini was not a regular starter for Inter last season although the midfielder did have an important role to play adding squad depth over a long and gruelling campaign.

The 28-year-old could ask for a move away in order to receive more playing time, although he could certainly still stay for one more season at least.

Gagliardini still has one more season on his deal, which runs out at the end of June 2023, and for the moment the most probable outcome is that he remains an Inter player at the start of next season.
