Fiorentina are interested in signing Inter striker Edin Dzeko this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of today’s print edition of Florence-based newspaper Corriere Fiorentino, who report that the Bosnian has emerged as a transfer target for La Viola in the summer transfer window.

Fiorentina are aiming to build on last season’s positive campaign under coach Vincenzo Italiano, and they see the experience and quality of Dzeko as an attractive possibility for their next campaign across Serie A and the Conference League.

The 36-year-old’s high wages would not be a problem for the Tuscans who would be ready to make a major investment to make the move happen.

It remains to be seen whether Dzeko would be open to a move to Fiorentina given their ambitious project and European football next season, or whether he would be determined to stay at Inter for the final year of his contract.
