Inter midfielder Matias Vecino has been offered to Brazilain side Botafogo on a free transfer.

This according to Uruguayan news outlet Torcedores, who report that the 30-year-old’s representatives have made contact with the Brazilian club about the possibility of a summer switch for the midfielder.

Vecino’s current contract with the Nerazzurri is set to run out at the end of the month, and with no contract extension having been offered he will leave on a free transfer when his contract expires.

The Uruguayan has been linked with a number of clubs in Europe as well as in South America, and the player’s representatives have spoken to Botafogo.

Now, Vecino and his representatives are awaiting the response from Botafogo after offering him on a two-year contract, although it remains to be seen how the Brazilians will decide to move forward and whether an agreement can be reached or whether he will join another club.
