Torino Sporting Director Davide Vagnati feels that it’s still too soon to be anywhere near certain that Inter will sign defender Bremer this summer.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Vagnati acknowledged the links between the Nerazzurri and the 25-year-old, but denied that a move is close as some reports have suggested.

Inter have made Bremer one of their priority targets for the summer transfer window and have been working to sign him for several months.

However, agreeing a deal with the Granata could still prove to be difficult especially considering the amount of competition for the Brazilian’s signature given that he was arguably the outstanding defender in Serie A last season.

Vagnati spoke about Bremer’s situation and acknowledged that he is a player in high demand, and also made clear that there is still work to be done before it can be said that Inter are on the verge of completing a deal for him.

“There’s a lot of interest in him, we’ll have to decide along with the player what the best move for him is,” he said, “a lot of movement around his situation which is to be expected.”

He called Inter “A big team with a great tradition, they’re a possibility, but to say that Bremer is close to the Nerazzurri would be an exaggeration.”
