Chelsea are looking to rival Paris Saint-Germain to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar this summer, and could offer midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the Nerazzurri as part of a deal.

This according to UK tabloid the Daily Mail, who report that the Blues are keen on bringing in the 27-year-old, and would be ready to offer Loftus-Cheek in addition to cash for him.

Skriniar is already a major target for PSG, but Chelsea are also looking to bolster their backline with several defenders departing the Premier League on free transfers.

Loftus-Cheek is a player who the Nerazzurri have been linked to, particularly as a possible replacement for Roberto Gagliardini, and the Blues see the 25-year-old as expendable as he is not a part of coach Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

Given that the two clubs have already been in talks over a possible loan return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter, they could also discuss the possibility of a move for Skriniar.
